NEW Youth Track!
This year we're ecstatic to be introducing a new Youth Track filled with fun, engaging, and educational experiences for teens! These experiences will range from group simulations on foreign affairs to inspiring talks geared towards homeschool teens and their unique experiences.
Education is most effective when it's done in an environment of active learning with a group of like-minded peers and involved mentors. All of the youth track events are focused on bringing academically rigorous and energetically charged experiences to your teen.
Teens ages 12-18 are invited to register for teen experiences throughout the day when attending with a parent (sorry no teens without a parent!):

The Promise: Guaranteeing the World Will Be Simple
The approach we take to teaching children can often come with an implied promise: The world is a simple place. But what happens when they become adults and find out that the world isn't very simple after all? Is there a better approach that can prepare children to operate in a complex world?
Sam Martineau from the IEProgram - 12:30pm

How to Help Your Teen Thrive Mentally and Emotionally
The teen mental health crisis is intensifying at an alarming rate as increasing rates of anxiety and depression led one in five Utah teens to seriously consider suicide last year. Most parents had no idea their teens were struggling so severely or how to handle it. Prepare your teens to thrive by helping them build antifragile confidence, learn to fill the six human needs, and form uplifting groups of friends and role models.
Cody Wadsworth from iCreate Collaborative - 1:30pm

Getting Your Kids to Take Ownership of their Education
Parents and teachers will learn key actions they can do to inspire and empower students to take ownership of their education. This is a gradual process, but it can be achieved, and fostering this in kids starts as young as 8 and can be done through their teen years. As your kids and students take responsibility for their own learning and gain the skills to self-educate, you get to move into the role of learning facilitator and resource, and out of the role of enforcer. Ownership of education in the right place fosters a love for learning, builds learner confidence, and empowers them for higher learning, careers, and life.
Amy Edwards from Elevated Charter School - 2:00pm

Set for Success: How to Help Your Teen Start Their Own Business
Starting a business as a teenager is easier than it seems; it's simply learning to create value for friends and neighbors. Discover the benefits your teens will gain, such as better control over their schedules, professional interactions with adults, and a deeper understanding of ownership. However, teens often need encouragement and mentorship at the start of their entrepreneurial journey. As a parent, you play a key role in supporting them. Learn how to best guide them through this exciting adventure.
Devan Mills from BizKidz - 3:15pm
